Schafhof , formerly probably old Brunnbach and upper Brunnenbach , is a living space within the boundaries of the Wertheimer village Reicholzheim in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

geography

Schafhof is located about 800 meters northeast of the Wertheim hamlet Bronnbach near Wertheim-Reicholzheim. The district is drained by the Brunnenbach , a right tributary of the Tauber near Bronnbach.

history

The residential area was first mentioned in a document in 1159, when it was probably given to the Bronnbach monastery as Altenbrunnbach (due to its location on the Brunnenbach ) . In 1180 named as Grangie Oberbrunnenbach . It was always an independent economy of the monastery. The residential space came to the city of Wertheim on January 1, 1975 as part of the formerly independent community of Reicholzheim.

Cultural monuments

In 1305 a Marienkapelle was mentioned at the Schafhof. The Schafhof is a late baroque mansion. Cultural monuments in the vicinity of the residential area are recorded in the list of cultural monuments in Wertheim .
