Shalwa Eliawa
Shalva Surabowitsch Eliawa ( Georgian შალვა ელიავა ; Russian Шалва Зурабович Элиава ; September 18 * jul. / 30th September 1883 greg. In Ganiri, government Kutaisi †; 3. December 1937 was a) Georgian Bolshevik and Soviet functionary .
Eliawa became a member of the Bolsheviks in 1904 . During the October Revolution , he was chairman of the Executive Committee of the Soviets in Vologda Governorate and of the Presidium of the Party's Governorate Committee. During the years of the Russian Civil War he was a member of the Revolutionary War Council and the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR and then Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of Georgia and the Transcaucasian Soviet Republic . In 1937 he fell victim to the Stalin purges .
