The Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic ( Russian Закавказская Социалистическая Федеративная Советская Республика ( ЗСФСР )) Sakawkasskaja Sozialistitscheskaja Federatiwnaja Sovetskaya Respublika was on 13. December 1922 founded and formed a part of the Soviet Union . It emerged from the transformation of the Federation of Transcaucasian Socialist Soviet Republics , a federation of states , proclaimed in Tbilisi on March 12, 1922 , into a federal state . It was dissolved in 1936. The capital was Tbilisi.
founding
The Azerbaijani , Armenian and Georgian SSR , the states of the Transcaucasian Federation from 1918, united to form the Federative Union of Transcaucasian Soviet Socialist Republics (also known as the Federation of Soviet Socialist Republics of Transcaucasia ). This federation was only an intermediate stage, so that the three republics united on December 13, 1922 to form the Transcaucasian Federal Socialist Soviet Republic (TSFSR).
On December 30, 1922, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics ( Soviet Union , USSR) was established by the Russian SFSR , the Ukrainian SSR , the Belarusian SSR, and the Transcaucasian SFSR.
development
The Transcaucasian SFSR was an association of the Armenian SSR , Azerbaijani SSR, and Georgian SSR . The Socialist Soviet Republic of Abkhazia was treated as an equal part of the Federation in the formation of TSFSR on the same level as the Georgian State itself, this was since March 4, 1921, independent SSR.
resolution
Strong criticism of this association came in the 1930s among Georgian and Azerbaijani Communist Party functionaries, so that it was dissolved on December 5, 1936 at Beria . Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan were once again admitted to the Soviet Union as independent union republics . Abkhazia had been incorporated into the Georgian SSR as an Autonomous Soviet Republic as early as 1931 .
