The mountain Schau ins Land is a 357.3 m high elevation in Tiefenort in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . The southern slope still bears the original field name "An der Wacht".

The mountain is located on the eastern outskirts of Tiefenort and belongs to the Frauenseer forest . The flat southern slope is arable land and has been used for agriculture for centuries. The Tiefenort sports field and other leisure activities are located on the western slope. From there you can take the circular hiking trail to the “Zeppelinstein”. Here, on the night of October 21, 1917, during the return flight from a combat mission over the British Isles, the L55 marine zeppelin had to make an emergency landing and was scrapped on site. If you follow the circular hiking trail to the north, after 800 meters you will come across the old execution site "Thick Oak" from Tiefenort, where there is an approximately 500-year-old tree veteran on the circular hiking trail and the "Ziegeunergrab", only 100 meters away.

At the turn of the century, Frauensee and Tiefenort became popular as excursion destinations. A beautification association set up viewpoints and resting places in the wooded area, and a detailed hiking map appeared. The names given by the association were gradually incorporated into official maps, including the Schöne Aussicht and the “Schau ins Land”.
