The Schaumburger Verkehrs-Gesellschaft mbH (SVG) is the largest regional transport company in the Schaumburg district . The company operates local public transport on 16 lines with around 80 buses in the Stadthagen area .

history

The company has been a subsidiary of Transdev GmbH and RegioBus Hannover since January 1st, 1991 . Previously it was a subsidiary of DEG-Verkehrs GmbH and Regionalverkehr Hannover.

In 1998, the joint subsidiary Schaumburger Bus-Service GmbH (SBS) was founded with the company Ruhe-Reisen GmbH . This subsidiary is responsible for the construction and operation of the joint depot.

The depot in Stadthagen was opened on September 1, 2000.

On May 7th, 2020 it became known that the two previous owners of SVG Transdev GmbH 50% and RegioBus Hannover 49% had sold their entire shares to Rottmann & Spannuth Omnibusverkehre GmbH, one of the main reasons is that the two former SVG owners are out of corporate strategy wanted to withdraw from the Schaumburg area. In addition, it has been announced that there is a high probability that 50% of the shares in SVG will be taken over by Verkehrsbetriebe Extertal with its subsidiary Karl Köhne Omnibusbetriebe GmbH on July 1, 2020 .
