The Regiobus Hannover GmbH is a bus company that the public transport buses in the Hanover region operates. The center of the city of Hanover is only reached by a few express bus routes (RegioSprinter). Most of the lines connect the cities and municipalities of the region with each other or with the Hanover tram at their endpoints. Other focal points are the connection of the localities to the Hanover S-Bahn and school transport.

history

The company was founded in 1998 through the merger of the previously independent regional transport company Hanover, the bus company of Steinhuder Meer-Bahn and the Burgdorf company of the Bachstein transport company and the service company Busverkehr und Service Großraum Hannover GmbH (BUS). The Hanover regional traffic, for its part, was created in 1976 from the merger of rail buses and post buses in the Hanover area.

Traffic area

The core traffic area of regiobus Hannover is the Hannover region. In addition, connections are offered in the neighboring districts of Schaumburg , Hameln-Pyrmont, Hildesheim and Nienburg / Weser . Regiobus Hanover also holds shares in local bus companies. sprintH

In the GVH area, so-called sprintH lines will operate in Hanover and the region from the 2019/2020 timetable change on December 15, 2019. The sprintH lines, which run on lines 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 and 900, are operated by regiobus. SprintH buses with WLAN, infotainment and USB charging docks are used on these lines. The sprintH lines are intended to provide an even better connection between the region and the city of Hanover. The sprintH lines also offer a higher frequency and easily noticeable departure times. A website with further information has been published for the sprintH lines (www.sprinth.de). Line 800 is the only sprintH line operated by ÜSTRA.
