The Cale Copf Company (short: CCC, Cale Copf ; artificial word / " verdenglischt " from larynx ) was a German a cappella music group from Melle , Osnabrück , Hagen aTW and Steinfurt . The formation performed many well-known songs (e.g. Back For Good by Take That ) a cappella at their concerts , but also sang self-written pieces (e.g. you should get to know us) as well as their own texts embedded in the melodies of other pieces ( e.g. Michael Jackson's Billie Jean made the band cheap jeans).
Career
founding
After the successful German-language performance of the musical " Hair " in 1988 by band founder Ali Sieckmann, the band started looking for members for a male sextet. The first rehearsals can begin in the spring of 1991 after he was able to win over Michael Wolf and Andreas Strotmann from the "Hair" ensemble as well as Hans Dammermann from the men's choir from Hagen aTW for his project. Sieckmann finally met Markus Weber while working as a vocal assistant. In 1992 Ulli Pommer joined the music group.
After a few smaller appearances at parties, birthdays, etc., the Cale Copf Company appeared for the first time in 1993 at two completely sold-out concerts in the former church in Hagen with their program Do it yourself "dum dum" .
