The German Check Act determines the conditions under which a document is considered a check and the legal consequences associated with it. It is the legal basis for the so-called check transactions.
The version of the law of August 14, 1933 (RGBl. I p. 597) is the literal implementation of the check law agreement concluded in Geneva in 1931 , to which most European countries (including the USSR ), the countries of South America and Japan , but not the countries of then the British Commonwealth and the United States .
The accompanying Introductory Act to the Check Act of August 14, 1933 ( RGBl. I p. 605) has now been repealed.
