Sham freedom
In the course of studies, the absence of a certificate describes the situation of a student who has received proof of performance ( coll. Certificates ) for all courses to be attended (compulsory or elective courses ). Proof of performance can be acquired through successful work in an event , depending on the respective examination regulations or study regulations . This does not mean that the student has finished his studies, but simply does not have to attend any more events. Accordingly, a student is still enrolled at the university if there is no certificate .
In this case, a student is deemed to be free of certificates if, in order to achieve the degree, he only has to write exams , a master’s, diploma , bachelor’s , master’s or other thesis and has to complete the subsequent colloquium or pass a state examination.
In some cases, certificates are only entered as an examination certificate after an examination has been passed, or they are not graded and issued without a subsequent examination. In this case, a student has received all the necessary credits in the bachelor's / master’s degree or has successfully passed all the necessary exams up to the final examination in the diploma / state examination program.
