Schepsdorf-Lohne was a municipality in the former Lower Saxony district of Lingen .

Schepsdorf , Lohne , Nordlohne , Lohnerbruch , Rheitlage and Herzford belonged to the community of Schepsdorf-Lohne .

history

The community of Schepsdorf-Lohne was dissolved on March 1, 1974:

The district of Schepsdorf (then more than 1000 inhabitants) was incorporated into the city of Lingen (Ems).

The districts of Herzford, Lohne, Lohnerbruch, Nordlohne and Rheitlage (at that time more than 3000 inhabitants together) were incorporated with the communities of Schwartenpohl and Wachendorf into the community of Wietmarschen , which originally belonged to the county of Bentheim . The new municipality of Wietmarschen initially became part of the district of Lingen , until it became part of the newly founded district of Emsland on August 1, 1977 and the new municipality of Wietmarschen was incorporated into the district of Grafschaft Bentheim. On July 1, 1978, Herzford and Rheitlage (together with Wachendorf) were incorporated into the city of Lingen (Ems) .
