The Maryfield jetty consists of a slipway with a boathouse at Maryfield House on the Scottish Shetland island of Bressay . In 1997 the facility was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in Category B.

description

The facility is located on the west coast of Bressay on Bressay Sound across from the town of Lerwick on Mainland . Directly to the south is the ferry pier, which is served daily by Mainland, and is partially enclosed by it. The building dates from the early 19th century and, together with the Maryfield House behind it, forms a harmonious unit that is only disturbed by the construction of a modern residential building in between. The elongated boat house is constructed symmetrically and closes with a saddle roof from which is covered with gray slate shingles. The facades are traditionally plastered with Harl , while the building edges are set off with sandstone . The wooden entrance door is embedded in the center of the west facade facing the lake. The slipway consists of roughly hewn quarry stone, which is surrounded by sandstone. To the north, a quarry stone wall delimits the complex from Maryfield House.
