Schindhübelturm

On the Schindhübel of 17 m high wooden stands Schindhübelturm , in 1975 by a German Federal Armed Forces - pioneer unit from Speyer was built. In 2004 the structure was renovated by replacing weathered parts of the wooden structure. From its 14.4 m high roofed viewing platform , which is reached via 65 steps, one overlooks the eastern Palatinate Forest up to its eastern edge, the Haardt . Moreover, the striking can be seen in the north of Thunder Mountain ( 689  m ) in the North Palatine Uplands and in the south-southeast, in good weather conditions, the 83-km away Hornisgrinde ( 1164  m ) in the northern Black Forest . To the southwest the view is limited because of the height of the nearby Eschkopf.
