Schinnik Babrujsk was founded in 2008. The team took part in the game operations of the Belarusian extra league from the 2008/09 season . Following the 2010/11 season , the team withdrew from play in the Extraliga.
In 2010, the KHL club HK Dinamo Minsk founded an ice hockey club in Babrujsk, which has since participated with various teams under the name Dinamo-Schinnik Babrujsk in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga and the Wysschaja Liga .
