Schlawerie or Schlaverie ( ʃlɐvəˈʁiː ) is the informal name for several places to live in Saarland . In some cases, only a few reports have been received from these places. They also mostly do not appear on official cards. The Schlawerie residential area in Neunkirchen (Saar) is dealt with in detail under Schlawerie (Neunkirchen) .

Occurrence

  • In Alsweiler , Feldstrasse is named Schlawerie on a site plan from 1842. Poor houses and huts are said to have stood here.
  • In Dörsdorf the name Schlawerie is attached to the Bergstrasse. Poor people are said to have lived there.
  • In Friedrichsthal (Saar) , a row of simple one-story glassmaker's houses built side-by-side on Saarbrücker Strasse was formerly called "Schlawerie" or "D-Zug".
  • In Neunkirchen (Saar) the name Schlawerie is attached to the Sinnerthaler Weg and first appears in 1765 as the "so-called Schlabery".
  • The name is documented in St. Ingbert-Rentrisch in 1764. The church book of the Catholic parish records the baptism of a child ex Schlavery de Rendrisch on September 4, 1764 .
  • There is a “Schlawwerie” in St. Ingbert-Rohrbach .
