Schlieremer Chind is the name of the most famous Swiss children's choir and, with over 300,000 records sold, it is also the most successful. Children sing and tell stories for children and adults in the Zurich dialect .

history

The choir was founded in 1957 by the Schlierem teacher and member of the well-known Cabaret Rotstift Werner von Aesch with the help of Hans Jecklin, the general agent for Columbia records . In the following years, countless singles , long-playing records and music cassettes with Christmas, children's and dialect songs, with fairy tales and fantastic stories were released.

In 1985 Werner von Aesch handed the Schlieremer Chind over to his son Martin von Aesch and the songs and stories became a bit more modern. The songs became songs based on the modern musical styles and the Gschichtli became musicals. Since the stories also dealt with topics such as the fear of falling asleep, role behavior and dealing with one's own dreams, parents were also happy to hear the productions.

In 1996, 1998 and 2001 the Schlieremer Chind started a successful tour through German-speaking Switzerland with the musicals De Tarzan cha nöd singe , Sunne, Mond & strengne and Aazelle, Bölle schelle .

In 2011 the new production Schaurig schöni Liedli appeared under the direction of Martin von Aesch . On the occasion of the major event Schliere-laughs in September 2011, the Schlierem Chind presented Schaurig Schöni Liedli on stage. Martin von Aesch has been supported by producer Beat Starkermann since 1995.
