Achenrain Castle
Achenrain Castle is located in the Mariathal district in the municipality of Kramsach in the Kufstein district in Tyrol .
The rectangular, baroque building was built between 1655 and 1658 by the founder of the brass works, Karl Aschauer von Lichtenturn. An east wing was added in the 18th century. Achenrain has been owned by the Count Taxis-Bordogna since 1855 .
An octagonal tower with an onion dome protrudes in the central axis of the main front. At the corners of the building there are oriels, also with onion hoods. The portal consists of a square wall and a triangular gable. There is a chapel in the castle. The prayer chairs were created around 1660.
In the dining room there is a coffered ceiling marked CA 1658 . A wall fountain is dated 1659 .
