Ansemburg Castle

The Ansembourg castle in the homonymous Luxembourg town Ansembourg the community Helperknapp is a castle in the style of the Renaissance and was from 1639 to 1647 from the cabin owner Thomas Bidart in the valley of the Eisch built. His descendant Lambert-Joseph de Marchant enlarged it in the 18th century. In order not to confuse the “new castle” with the older Ansemburg castle complex , which is located on a mountain, the castle is often referred to as the Nouveau Château . Castle and palace are part of the "Valley of the Seven Castles", the motto under which the Eisch Valley is advertised for tourism.

The palace's French-style baroque garden was renovated with EU funding and is open to the public. The castle itself has been owned by the Japanese religious community Sukyo Mahikari since 1986 and cannot be visited.
