Helperknapp is a municipality in the canton of Mersch in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg , which was created from the merger of the former municipalities of Böwingen / Attert and Tüntingen on January 1, 2018. The seat of the community is Tüntingen.

The community consists of 12 districts. The municipality has a total of 4276 inhabitants (Sept. 28, 2018) and consists of the following localities:

In a referendum on May 25, 2014, the citizens of the communities Böwingen / Attert and Tüntingen agreed to a community merger. In Böwingen 69.51% and in Tüntingen 64.09% were in favor of a merger. On the basis of the survey, both municipal councils then voted for the merger. On January 1, 2018, the communities of Böwingen / Attert and Tüntingen were finally merged to form the new community of Helperknapp. The name Helperknapp is derived from a mountain of the same name in the municipality.
