Hollenfels ( Luxembourgish Huelmes ) is a village in the municipality of Helperknapp , Canton Mersch , in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Hollenfels lies above the Eisch valley , on the CR 113. Neighboring towns of Hollenfels are below in the valley Marienthal and Ansemburg , in the west Tüntingen .
General
The Hollenfels Castle , which stands in the east of the village on the slope of the Eisch valley, dominates the site. It was first mentioned in a document in 1041. The mighty keep, built in the 14th century, has been preserved from the original castle. The attached building is much younger. The site also includes the local youth hostel, and the castle is also used by the youth organization. The village of Hollenfels is rural. Next to the castle is the neo-Gothic St. Sebastian Church , built in 1856/1900 according to plans by Antoine Hartmann .
