Stara Orschyzja ( Ukrainian Стара Оржиця ; Russian Старая Оржица Staraja Orschiza ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 1000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1716, is the only place in the 35.442 km² district council of the same name in the east of Shuriwka Rajon .
The village is located at an altitude of 135 m on the bank of the Hnyla Orschyzja ( Гнила Оржиця ), a 98 km long left tributary of the Orschyzja ( Оржиця ), 11 km southeast of the Shuriwka district center and 110 km east of the Kiev oblast center .
