Castagnac Castle

The castle in Castagnac , a French commune in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region , was originally built in the 15th century and in the 18th / 19th century. Century changed. The castle has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 2003 .

The rectangular building with four round corner towers served as the fortified seat of the Lordat family, who ruled the town for a long time . The two arcades that serve as access contrast with the fortified character of the complex, which is surrounded by a moat.
