Marienlay Castle
The Marienlay castle stands on the eastern slope of the Ruwertal at Morscheid in the district Trier-Saarburg , Rhineland-Palatinate .
It was built from slate quarry stone between 1922 and 1927 and is 220 m above sea level. NHN . A previous building - the so-called wine press house - was built around 1880 and was demolished in 1961.
Today the Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt winery has its headquarters there. A functional part of the winery is the associated vineyard location, which helps shape its appearance.
