Former Steeg Castle Chapel

history

Steeg Castle was one of the seats of the noble and knight family of the Pfaffinger (until around 1475). The Losnitz von Steeg also named themselves after the manor (a member of the family sold the Hofmark in 1641). The last owner, Leonhard Sinbert von Mandl, sold the castle around 1840. The Freiherr von Mandl'sche patrimonial court was dissolved. The castle was demolished in 1850.

The only remnant of the castle, which was demolished in 1850, is the former castle chapel St. Marien .
