The Schmidt Groupe (formerly Société alsacienne de meubles , SALM) is a French kitchen manufacturer.

The company was founded in 1934 by Hubert Schmidt in Türkismühle (Saarland). From 1946 kitchen buffets were made. After the Saarland was returned to Germany in 1959, a customs barrier was set up, which is why Schmidt had a new plant built in Lièpvre in Alsace . Today the family business is run in the third generation by Anne Leitzgen.
