Elements of the broadcast

Music is a central component of the Schmidts Saturday program . In addition to the “greatest hits of all time”, there are also pieces of music from five decades of pop history. In the Schmidts cat category there are disco classics from the 70s and 80s. In addition to the news, the word share has fixed rubrics that appear regularly, first of all Through the week with ... , a review of the week with a known person. Guests were, for example, the cabaret artist Gernot Hassknecht , songwriter Konstantin Wecker , radio play and dubbing actor Christian Brückner .

On Saturdays at a quarter past ten in ... a reporter reports live from a location in Baden-Württemberg, for example from the Staufer Festival in Schwäbisch Gmünd , from an allotment garden colony in Mannheim or from the World Cup ski jumping in Titisee-Neustadt .

Sports reporter Jens Wolters gives in the Schmidtiepedia (Wolters' knowledge) category - according to self-promotion - "useless facts for every party" from the world of sports. In his surveys for the wisdom of the street, the Freiburg SWR reporter Stefan Schlegel confronts passers-by with various questions, some of which are not meant seriously. At Alles geht mit Antje, SWR1 editor Antje Nutbohm tries to motivate the moderator to do practical things again and again, regardless of whether it is sporty, brain jogging or creative.
