The Schmiedbachbrunnen is a karst spring near Beuron in the Upper Danube Valley in Baden-Württemberg .

The Schmiedbachbrunnen is located in the Danube valley in the Beuron district of Hausen im Tal on the newly designed village square near the campsite . The spring pours an average of 120 l / s and is contained in a brick basin. Its catchment area extends far beyond Schwenningen , which is over three kilometers northwest of the Alb plateau, and covers 12.43 km². The spring water arises from the limestones of the Upper Jurassic . Immediately next to the spring basin is a memorial stone in honor of the local poet Anton Schlude . The outflowing Schmiedbach flows into the Danube after 90 meters .
