Since 1996 every year in late summer Schwenningen clubs, groups, children and companies have been building the straw park . From September to mid-October, around 30 figures, buildings and ensembles, some of them larger than life, are shown on the meadow at the Heuberghalle. All work is done by hand. The exhibition is rounded off by various activities, such as benefit concerts, a concert by the pensioners combo, traditional chicken dinner and more. The open-air event is also attracting a great deal of national attention, as evidenced by thousands of visitors. At all entrances to the village there are interesting straw works of art from last year's spectacle.
