Hausen im Tal is the largest part of the municipality of Beuron . The village lies on the young Danube and has about 300 inhabitants.
geography
Hausen im Tal is located in the Upper Danube Nature Park . In the village there is a contained karst spring called a Schmiedbachbrunnen . The Tuttlingen – Inzigkofen railway line and Landesstraße 277 run through the town.
history
The chronicle of Andechs first mentions Hausen im Tal in 1020 as a knight's seat . In 1682 the last Herr von Hausen died without any descendants. The fiefdom falls to the landlord Austria , who passes it on to the Fuggers . In 1805 it became part of Württemberg , in 1810 it became part of Baden .
On January 1, 1973, the community of Hausen im Tal moved from the Stockach district to the Sigmaringen district due to the Baden-Württemberg district reform .
On January 1, 1974, it was incorporated into Beuron.
Current situation
The town hall and the tourist office of the municipality of Beuron are also located in Hausen im Tal.

Buildings
The lock
The Schloss Hausen in the valley was built in the 11th century as a castle, canceled 1813th In the Middle Ages, a family of ministers from whom the minstrel "Friedrich von Husen" came from sat at Schloss Hausen. The ruin with a reconstructable floor plan and barrel vault is freely accessible and was renovated in 2007. It was named " Monument of the Month February 2008" by the Monument Foundation Baden-Württemberg .
The church
The Catholic Church in Hausen im Tal is dedicated to St. Nicholas of Myra . It was built around 1275 and is characterized by a Romanesque tower. The choir still provides information about the church redesign in the Gothic style around 1500. The sacred building received Renaissance elements such as the communion stage around 1600 . In 1732 the church was baroque with an octagonal church extension . A neo-Gothic interior followed in the 19th century. The choir contains epitaphs and graves of the Lords of Hausen. These are Veit Georg († 1566) von und zu Hausen, his wife Anna Margaretha von Horben-Ringenberg († 1566) and their son Hans Christoph († 1568). The grave inscriptions were donated by her nephew, Bishop Wolfgang II of Regensburg, born von Hausen (1553–1613).

- The Upper Danube Valley near Hausen im Tal is a popular climbing area. Here are several rocks that can be climbed: From Southwest (trail parking lot along Route 196) to northeast ( ruin wagons ) that are parking rock , nature park rock , Garmisch tower and side rock , engagement rock , Löchlesfels , Fuchs rock , Western pinnacle , Third pinnacle , Second Zinne , Erste Zinne , Fischerfels , Bergwachtfels , Eiger Tower and Alte Hausener Wand . Below Schloss Hausen is the Dachstein and to the east of it the Stuhlfels with its summit cross.
- The karst spring Schmiedbachbrunnen is located on the newly designed village square .

The 1.2 hectare “Wagenburg” campsite was opened in 1961 and is therefore one of the oldest tourist facilities in the Danube Valley. Depending on the weather, there are an annual average between 11,000 and 14,000 overnight stays in the season, which runs from April to the beginning of October.

- Engelbert Orsinger (1874–1955), local pastor from 1907 to 1947; In 1926, on the occasion of the inauguration of the war memorial, he was one of the co-founders of the men's choir, of which he was conductor until 1933.
