Xi'an – Chengdu high-speed line

The high-speed line Xi'an-Chengdu is a railroad - high-speed line in the People's Republic of China . It connects the cities of Xi'an and Chengdu .

Geographical location

The route begins in Xi'an North Station , runs through the Sichuan Basin , the Central Shaanxi Plain , the Qin Ling Mountain Range , which is now crossed by a railway line for the first time, the Hanzhong Basin and the Bashan Mountain Range . The line joins the Chengdu – Leshan high-speed line and uses this to reach Chengdu East station .

The new line in standard gauge was completed in 2017. It is designed for a cruising speed of 250 km / h. On November 22, 2017, a high-speed train passed through it for the first time.
