The Schollglas GmbH is founded in 1969, medium-sized company headquartered in Barsinghausen . Today the Schollglas Group is a globally oriented and group-independent company network with around 1,300 employees and 13 production sites, consulting and sales offices in Germany and abroad, and serves a wide variety of market segments. The group of companies has experience and competence in the areas of production, finishing and trading of and with flat glass of all kinds.

After the ICE accident in Eschede , the Schollglas Group developed a new, innovative lightweight glass for the new ICE. This makes it easier for rescue workers to rescue the passengers. For this development, the group received the German Business Innovation Prize 2003 for medium-sized companies.
