Schonderfeld is a district of Graefendorf in the Main-Spessart district in Bavaria .

geography

The village is at 168  m above sea level. NHN on the left bank of the Franconian Saale between Gräfendorf and Wolfsmünster . Above the village on the Gumenberg (365 m), is Neutzenbrunn .

Surname

From what the place name Schonderfeld is derived is not exactly known. Two explanations are given:

  • The name goes back to the tribe called Schunder who settled in the area of ​​settlement.
  • The place name is derived from an original field name opposite the mouth of the Schondra .
