Schreck is a district of Siegburg in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Schreck is located north of the town of Siegburg in 200- 215  m above sea level. NHN on Bundesstrasse 56 . Adjacent villages are the Lohmar districts of Heide , Birk , Hochhausen (Neunkirchen-Seelscheid) and the Siegburg districts of Braschoss and Schneffelrath . The Wahnbach dam is to the east of Schreck .

history

In 1910, five farms were noted for Schreck: the Ackerer Johann and Franz Lohausen, Johann and Peter Orth and Peter Pohl. There were also five other households with day laborer Josef Kemp, bricklayer Josef Sinzig, landlord Wilhelm Tritz, factory worker Peter Steimel and carpenter Heinrich Trost. Historically, Schreck belonged to the municipality of Braschoss in the Lauthausen district ( Lauthausen mayor's office until 1927 ). On October 1, 1956, Braschoss was incorporated into Siegburg.
