The shrine stone forms with the Siebligrat one northeast of the Risser Kogel located north to Sieblingalm sloping ridge. The Schreistein is separated from the snow soils by the Riedeckersattel , which in its extension lead to the Risserkogel.
There is a climbing garden on the southern rock faces. The Schreistein falls steeply and rocky on all sides. The highest point, marked with a small cross, is most easily reached by climbing.
