The school servant house of the primary school Leipziger Straße is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the south side of Bierer Weg in the Magdeburg district Leipziger Straße at the address Bierer Weg 5. It is on the east side of the school yard of the also listed primary school Leipziger Straße on corridor 438, parcel 10142.

Architecture and history

After the school building had already been built in 1891, the two-storey house for the school clerk was built in 1903. It was created on an almost square floor plan and presents itself as a cubic-looking structure. The design of the building is based on the architecture of the school building. The facade consists of yellow and red facing bricks. The building is covered with a hipped roof covered with slate . To the northeast to the street and southwest to the courtyard, there are tiered dwelling houses . The entrance is on the northwest side and is arranged in a clearly protruding stairwell risaliten . The building contained two apartments. They each comprised two rooms, a chamber and a kitchen.

After it had been transferred into private ownership, the school servant's house was renovated between 2012 and 2014. It is considered to be a document of the school architecture of the early days .

In the local register of monuments , the residential building has been listed as an independent architectural monument under registration number 09416811 since 2017 .
