The school servant house is a building in Darmstadt .
History and description
In the course of the construction of the Diesterweg School from 1901 to 1903, the school servant house was also built in a rural villa style. Stylistically, the building belongs to the Wilhelminian style, cubic type.
Typical details are:
- two and a half story building
- Boss masonry plinth
- the roof zone is adorned with a decorative framework
- one corner of the house is indicated as a tower
- slate roof
Monument protection
The school servant's house forms a striking urban accent and is a typical example of the country house style in Darmstadt. For architectural and city-historical reasons, the building is a cultural monument .
