The Schulenbrooksbek is a creek about five kilometers long . It rises on the south-eastern border of Wentorf near Hamburg near the Möbel Schulenburg premises. It initially flows along the border between Wentorf and Börnsen in a west-southwest direction through boggy forest area and later through the lowland of Schulenbrook in Hamburg-Bergedorf . After the brook widens into a small lake in the town hall park in Bergedorf, the "Bek" ( Low German for brook) then flows into the Brookwetterung in a tunnel from the Am Brink intersection to the south .

Water body name

From the year 1491 the location is handed down from the Schulenbroke . The defining word comes from nd. "Schuulen" for "hide", "hide"; the basic word means "break (land)", "break forest ". The name of the water, Schulenbrooksbek, means “creek in” or “from the hidden break”.
