Brook weather

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Brookwetterung (also Brookwetter or Brookwetter ) is a brook developed over large parts as a drainage ditch , which drains the north of the Vierländer Elbmarsch .

It begins in the Borghorster Elbwiesen , where it was originally fed by the Elbe , but has been dammed since 1968 by the dam of the Geesthacht lock canal.

The Brookwetterung then runs through Escheburg (Vossmoor), where it absorbs the water of the bistro via the Knollgraben . The Dalbek flows south of Börnsen over the border ditch . Further west in the Bergedorf area, the old course of the Brookwetterung (also called "Alte Brookwetterung") passes under the federal highway 25 and later the Bergedorf-Geesthacht railway . From here it is heavily built up and then flows a few hundred meters southwest of the Bergedorf city center into the Schleusengraben and this then finally continues into the Dove Elbe .

With the construction of the federal highway 25, a drainage ditch was built south of the highway, which carries part of the water of the Brookwetterung and then discharges south parallel to the street Curslacker Neuer Deich into the Dove Elbe , this ditch is also called "Brookwetterung".
