Modern exercise books

A booklet (formed to be "stapled" in the 16th century) or fascicle consists of sheets of paper stapled together and usually an envelope attached to them.

History and types

Completely blank writing and sketch pads were meant originally to stapling, the term extended to printed publications lesser extent as brochures or magazines and stapled shaped deliveries , taken together, after complete appearance on behalf of the customer from bookbinding to a book could be committed. The octave format of the notebooks was a common production format until the paper formats of the folded sheets were standardized. Today, an A6 booklet is considered an octave booklet.
