The Melsungen School Association is an amalgamation of comprehensive and secondary schools in the former Melsungen district , which has been part of the Schwalm-Eder district in Northern Hesse since 1974 .

founding

The Melsungen School Association was founded on September 25, 1980 by the directors involved.

aims

The aim was to make the transition from students from comprehensive schools to secondary schools easier. It was agreed on close cooperation between the schools in a wide variety of areas. This includes the mutual delegation of teachers as well as an intensive agreement on individual subjects. This work is regularly coordinated through coordination conferences.

General

The Melsungen school association is the only remaining school association in Hesse. Most of the school associations have since been dissolved due to excessive competition. As part of the school network, there is an annual trip to Rome for the participating Latin classes.

The head of the school network is currently senior studies director Dieter Vaupel , head of the three-castle school Felsberg.
