The Drei-Burgen-Schule in Felsberg is a comprehensive school in the Schwalm-Eder district . She is a member of the Melsungen School Association . Karl-Werner Reinbold has been the director since 2017. The Drei-Burgen-Schule Felsberg sees itself as a school for all pupils in the city of Felsberg and its districts from grade 5 onwards. Around 530 pupils are currently attending the school-based comprehensive school with voluntary all-day courses. The Hauptschule, Realschule and Gymnasium courses are offered up to grade 9 or 10. The Gymnasium course of education can be chosen from grade 5, parallel to this there are special grade classes in grades 5–8.
history
In 1972 today's comprehensive school was founded. When the then newly founded Schwalm-Eder-Kreis took over the management of the school, the new school building on Untere Birkenallee was also able to move into. The building was completely renovated in 2010 and 2011. Until 2003 the school was simply referred to as the Felsberg comprehensive school . The school management decided in 2003 to launch an ideas competition, a new name should be found. In the end it was possible to agree on a three-castle school. The name symbolizes the connection between the school and the city of Felsberg with the three castles Altenburg , Felsburg and Heiligenburg .
The Drei-Burgen-Schule currently offers around 600 students a comprehensive range of education. All districts of the city of Felsberg as well as some districts of Wabern and Malsfeld fall under the responsibility of the DBS . In addition to the transition to college can be Gymnasiale the Secondary school and high school acquire it.
Partner schools
There is an intensive partnership with the school in Vernouillet . An exchange trip takes place every year. For many years there was a partnership with Semibratowo in Russia and with Cheddar in England. Class 7 has been taking part in language trips to southern England for three years. The students of the Latin course travel to Rome every year together with the Latin students from the Melsungen school network . Since the beginning of the 2009/10 school year, the school has been participating in the European Union's Comenius project .
