The SchulVerwaltung is an independent trade journal that is published monthly by the Wolters Kluwer publishing house with the subtitle Zeitschrift für Schulentwicklung und Schulmanagement and is very popular among institutions in the education system.

The school administration appears in different country editions of the large states:

The specialist editors for all state editions of the school administration are close to the education ministries responsible for schools. Most of them work there or in their subordinate school supervisory authorities. This is intended to provide practical information and explanations on new school laws or court decisions. The occasional impression that the magazine is a second government gazette is mostly (depending on the national edition) put into perspective by specialist contributions by scientists and independent comments.
Content and addressees
The school administration is characterized by the breadth and topicality of its topics. In terms of content, it combines different subject areas from education , school law , school organization and school policy , which are mostly dealt with by competent experts. The magazine is aimed in particular at the school management , the authorities of the state school supervision and the local school administration ( school authorities ). It is estimated that half of all schools read the magazine.

The SchulVerwaltung.de portal combines the national and special editions of the specialist journal SchulVerwaltung with other content. There is only one search left to access all the specialist information. Questions can be put directly to specialist and practical experts and the exchange between the school management is made possible by a secure specialist community. Training courses take place digitally via webinars.
