The Schunterhöhle (also Schonterhöhle) is a cave east of the village of Briel, northwest of the district town of Ehingen (Danube) on the southern edge of the Swabian Alb . It is located at the foot of the Rappenstein in the Weilersteusslingen district of the Allmendingen community.
It is said that around 1780 it served as a cave house for a family named Schunter.
The rock and the cave are protected under the name Rappenstein and Schunterhöhle as a natural monument no. 84250020043 and under the name Felsrippe Rappenstein and Schuntershöhle on the eastern slope of the Rautal 1100 m NE of Briel as a geotope.
