history

Weilersteusslingen is first mentioned in a document in 1192. The village, which was part of a community with the hamlet of Ermelau , was usually only called a hamlet until the 19th century . The place became after 1270 the Württemberg fiefdom of the barons of Freyberg and part of the Steusslingen rule . After the fall of the fief in 1581, the place came under direct Württemberg rule. In 1806 he was assigned to the Oberamt Steusslingen and in 1810 to the Oberamt Ehingen .

Weilersteusslingen with Ermelau was the smallest place of the Steusslingen rule on the Lutheran Mountains after Ennahofen and Grötzingen.
