Schwörzkirch is a district of the municipality of Allmendingen in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . In the course of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg on January 1, 1974, the municipality of Niederhofen was incorporated into Allmendingen with the district of Schwörzkirch.

The village is about three kilometers east of Allmendingen and can be reached via the K 7357 district road .

history

Schwörzkirch is first handed down in 1275. Originally the place belonged to the rule of the Counts of Berg, later the Counts of Landau also had rights in the place. The rights came from the mountain in 1343 and from the Landau in 1384 to Austria , where the place was under the rule of Ehingen .

After 1805 Schwörzkirch was subordinate to the Oberamt Ehingen .
