Swabian Canyon

The Schwabenland Canyon is a deep-sea trench in the Riiser Larsen Sea off the Princess Astrid Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land and off the eastern end of New Swabia .
It is named after the Schwabenland , ship of the German Antarctic Expedition 1938/39 under the direction of the polar explorer Alfred Ritscher .
