Schwarze Grütze is a music cabaret duo from Potsdam , consisting of Dirk Pursche (born July 31, 1969) and Stefan Klucke (born May 17, 1971).

history

The name "Schwarze Grütze" came about in the mid-1990s because of the ambiguity of the word Grütze in the Brandenburg dialect : sharpness and nonsense . Black because of the black humor that defines the self-written and composed songs. The two Potsdamers got to know each other during their music studies in 1994; In 1995 they formed the cabaret duo. Since then, the musicians have been performing their songs together nationwide. They also had guest appearances in Switzerland and Austria. Their songs are taken over by the Leipziger Pfeffermühle for their own productions.

The artists

Dirk Pursche made his first appearances with the acoustic guitar at the age of 14, mainly in the context of church events. As a teenager he joined various rock bands and composed cabaret pieces himself until he and his songs were banned by the censorship in the GDR . During his music studies he met Stefan Klucke; In 1995 both founded the music cabaret duo "Schwarze Grütze".
As a solo project - during the duo's breaks - Pursche composes children's songs and writes children's musicals. In addition, it is a member of fun band DDR (consisting of D ietmar, D irk and R beets). He currently lives in Potsdam .

Also at the age of 14, Stefan Klucke performed with an electric guitar. He became a member of a punk band. After their dissolution, he took part in various theater projects and began studying music in 1994.
