The Minden sticklebacks are a nationwide known amateur cabaret and come from the East Westphalian Minden in North Rhine-Westphalia . According to the journalist Hans-Jürgen Amtage , they are the oldest amateur cabaret in Germany.

history

Minden is the founding place and seat of the Minden sticklebacks . The cabaret was founded on April 13, 1966. The founder and long-time director is Birger Hausmann , who received the Minden Ring of Honor in 2016. The sponsorship prize was awarded for the first time in 1994 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Minden stickleback. In 2006 they celebrated their 40th anniversary on stage and the Minden sticklebacks are the oldest active amateur cabaret in Germany. Well-known members were Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger and the cabaret artist and author Bernd Gieseking . In 2007 the sticklebacks were awarded the community prize of the association “Mehr Minden”.
