Ekhymosis were a Colombian rock and metal band. It was founded in 1988 in the city of Medellín . Members were Juan Esteban Aristizábal , better known today as "Juanes", Fernando Tobón, who still plays in Juanes' band, Andrés García and José David Lopera.
In 2012 bassist Andrés Garcia reunited the band with an otherwise completely new line-up. The band wants to focus again on the harder style of the early albums.
