Lars Reichow (born June 12, 1964 in Mainz ) is a German cabaret artist .

Life

The cabaret artist, pianist, composer, singer, television presenter and entertainer with the nickname Der Klaviator received his musical training (guitar, piano, trombone) initially from his father. At the age of 16 he played in his father's jazz band Bernd Reichow Jazz Formation and two years later, in 1982, he went on his first tour with Hanns Dieter Hüsch .

Reichow studied music and German , taught in the 1990s at the Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium in Rüsselsheim , took acting lessons on the side and finally received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation in Bayreuth . During this time he was working on his first program I'm definitely here! , which premiered in 1992 in front of 400 spectators. Two years later he played for the first time in the Mainz lower house and a subsequent tour finally made him known nationwide.

In the meantime Reichow can look back on numerous awards and prizes. He is the recipient of the renowned German Cabaret Prize , received the Gaul von Niedersachsen , the Tuttlinger Krähe and the Berlin Cabaret Prize . He also appears frequently on radio and television, either in his own programs such as Reichows Welt ( SWR ), Querkopf ( HR1 ) and Lachen mit Lars (Hessisches Fernsehen) or as a guest in television formats such as Ottis Schlachthof , windshield wiper , everything has to go or midnight peaks . He also moderates the monthly musical review of SWR2 - music lesson on the last Saturday of each month.

Since 2013 he has appeared in the show Mainz, Mainz, how it sings and laughs as a "news presenter" (carnival themes / carnival journal). On July 25, 2013 it was announced that Reichow, as the successor to Christoph Sieber, will be hosting the monthly SWR television program Spätschicht from September . From January 2014 to July 2016 he also moderated Kunscht! - Culture in the Southwest . The culture magazine on SWR television is broadcast every Thursday - except on public holidays - at 10:45 p.m. In July 2015, ZDF broadcast the moderation for The Lars Reichow Show to Reichow , which is initially limited to four episodes. After his appearance at Mainz stays Mainz 2017, Reichow was accused by some AfD functionaries who felt they had been hit of having exceeded the limits of what was allowed.

Reichow is considered to be close to the SPD, he was proposed as an SPD elector for the 2017 federal presidential election, in whose federal assembly he also took part.
