Lioba Albus (born September 27, 1958 in Attendorn ) is a German actress and cabaret artist .

Career

Lioba Albus grew up in the Sauerland town of Attendorn as the seventh child of her parents Heinrich and Hedwig Albus. After graduating from high school in 1977, she studied theater studies in Munich and attended the private drama school Zinner . During her training, she initially appeared in touring theaters for children, and from 1983 she was a member of the Dortmund children's and youth theater ensemble . Before moving to Dortmund, she worked as a spokeswoman for Bavarian Broadcasting . Lioba Albus has appeared as a cabaret artist since 1991, mainly on stages and on radio and television. Your main broadcaster is the WDR . Among other things, she was seen in the shows Mitternachtsspitzen , Blond am Freitag and 7 Tage, 7 Köpfe . From 1995 to 2001 she hosted the WDR radio show Entertainment on the Weekend . Lioba Albus has three children and lives in Dortmund. One cousin is the actor and voice actor Thomas Albus .

The cabaret artist takes up everyday situations in a satirical way and exaggerates typical social behavior. Her most popular topic is the relationships between men and women. In doing so, she often slips into the role of the fictional Sauerland housewife "Mia Mittelkötter", who reveals her (sometimes only superficially) simple wisdom. Some press reviews called Lioba Albus a "word volcano".
